Each year since 2020, Strategic Technology Solutions has elected to undergo the rigorous auditing process, completed in partnership with BYM Partners and defined by the SOC 2 guidelines put forth by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Though this process and subsequent compliance are not required for Managed Services Providers or other IT partners, Strategic Technology Solutions chooses to make this investment in order to ensure that their clients, law firms across the country, are rigorously protected against third-party threats.

SOC 2 Type II Compliance is a globally acknowledged auditing standard evaluating an organization’s security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy. This audit qualifies providers to the highest caliber of cybersecurity standards. The audit and evidence-gathering process is the largest undertaking an organization must go through to achieve its certification. STS is constantly proactive in their approach to security, which is demonstrated through monthly security meetings, vulnerability review and assessments of gaps, and subsequent remediation of any risk.
SOC 2 Type II audits require evidence, factual working, and proven processes and procedures, including but not limited to impeccable documentation of the controls and policies that Strategic Technology Solutions and its full staff adhere to.
Throughout the SOC 2 Type II audit process, STS continuously gains clarity on how to improve their clients’ understanding of risk.
